Established in September 2018, Located at Guanghan City, Sichuan Province, China,
the center has a total of 51 members, including 10 doctoral and 18 master's
students, 18 senior engineers, and 19 engineers. Adhering to the concept of
"innovation, coordination, green, openness, and sharing" and the development
concept of "based on demand, supporting the current, and leading the future",
it carries out basic theoretical research, cutting-edge technology research,
high-end technology research, and core equipment and tool research and
development, focusing on the development of six research and development
fields: intelligence and planning, engineering geology, working fluids,
safety drilling technology, downhole tools, and new energy technology.

<p>DRILLING FLUID AND COMPLETION FLUID RESEARCH INSTITUTE</p>
<p>
As a leading unit in drilling fluid research in the Changqing region of
Chuanqing Drilling, Located at Xi'an City, Shanxi Province,China, it has
been conducting technical research on the "three low" oil and gas reservoirs
in Changqing for a long time, forming a series of drilling (completion)
fluid technologies and supporting products, providing technical support
for increasing storage and production in Changqing oil and gas fields
and achieving the grand goal of "Western Daqing".<br>
The Drilling and Completion Fluid Research Institute has provided important technical
support for projects such as tight oil and gas reservoirs in Changqing, shale oil
and gas wells, remote exploration wells, and Sichuan shale gas. It has also opened
up technical service markets in Turkmenistan, Ecuador, and Peru, and collaborated
with international first-class companies such as Shell, Total, and HESS in the
United States. It provides drilling fluid technical services and support for more
than 10 key wells of the exploration department, including Yitan 1 well, Chengye
1 well, Zhongping 1 well, and Yu 203H well, to promote the safe drilling and
efficiency increase of unconventional and complex deep wells. Among them, the
single drill bit footage in the horizontal section of Well Chengye 2 is 1116
meters, setting a new record for shale oil horizontal wells in Changqing
Oilfield. It has been cooperating with Shell (China) Exploration and
Development Company for over 15 years in various aspects such as drilling
fluid technology services, employee professional technical training, and
drilling and completion fluid technology solutions, becoming the preferred
drilling fluid contractor for Shell.
